2009 set 2010 dawn

Another year is coming to an end and this is going to be my last blog in the year 2009.
I hope to pen down more blogs next year than i was able to do this year.
Time flies by so quickly that we are already near to end of another year.
January is the only month where we realize that "oh, its a long year", but after that you doesnt come to know when it is already Dec 31st.
2009 is another year making history in every field of life.
Many disasters were averted but some still happened.
War still happened but peace was also made.
Terror attacks still happened and still going on....
Some became new mom's, some others lost their only child.
Some got promotions, some lost their job.
Some got their wishes fulfilled, some still waiting.
So its just a part and parcel of life....All the above things are going to happen in the next year and there after...so does the end of the year signifies anything? Or its just another date to make you one more year older....
I still hope that the coming year is prosperous and successful year for everyone.
Lets be positive, eat healthy, exercise, determined and lead a happy life !

Happy New year 2010 to all my blog readers !

Missing weddings has become a trend

I have not seen any wedding since my wedding...
Many weddings have come by and gone but i was always on the other side of the ocean to attend any of those.
When ever i see the snaps of my family and friends enjoying all the fun of the wedding,i am jealous.
People say that you have to sacrifice some things in order to get some and, in marriage, you have to compromise.....I feel thats all true ...In marraige you have to compromise and i also compromised a lot....you guys will be curious to know what i sacrificed....all the marriages since my marriage.....;)
Its just that my circumstances have been always different during any marriage time and forunately or unfortunately, i am not able to attend....How my marriage has played a part in this? To be honest, its just a cliche but my marriage has nothing to do with me not attending marriages but it has always been my work....why i said marriage before becuase if i would not have got married, i would not have missed so many of them becuase i would not be a part of my new family then where all of them happened (Tarun's side cousins) :) Howz that....
But i stll miss all the festivites and hasna gana .....I miss you guys....

Digital Fortress - a disappointment

Finished reading digital fortress 2 weeks back. Was very enthusiastic to read that book because my previous reads of Dan Brown have been just awesome but DF disappointed me.
It had an element of suspense as in other books but some how it never took control of the readers mind, atleast not me.
This book reminded me of the various bollywood scenes and the climax. I guess thats the reason i didnt like it. Unlike other books, it never got the reader involved in itself. It had a fast moving pace but in between it used to go so slow that you might want to skip the pages and read the end.
I was expecting the similar kind of suspense, fast, chemistry between the characters as Dan Brown potrayed in his other books but this one didnt take my heart.
Probably this one was his initial one, so i guess i read his books in a bit different order and i have to say that he is definitely improving :)

Silent Honor

Just completed the book "Silent Honor" by Danielle Steel.
This book made me cry, the time i started reading this book till the end. The book is so emotional that i completed this book in 3 days, reason being, didnt want to be in the emotional state for long.
When i started reading this book, never thought that this book would have every bit and kind of emotions, a human can feel in his life time. From love to hate, from peace to war, from being rich to poor, from being very inhumane to humanity, from getting love to see your loved beings going far away from you, what else you can ask for.
I wasn't aware of any interment camps in USA for people of Japanese ancestory after Pearl Harbor till i read this book. A good eye opener of the historical events that took place during World War II in USA for people of Japanese origin. How the people who have been staying in US for so many years were suddenly uprooted and were placed in the camps with difficult conditions. How people lost their jobs, home, loved ones.
It made me think that no one wants a war but still it happens and the life which is lost is of innocent civilians and soldiers. War does no good for any one bit it takes a toll on everything you have with you.
And its not only the time during the war which is difficult but the time after that when people start coming back to their "places": thinking it would still be there but find nothing but robbed homes, no jobs and above all, probably no loved ones left. Time after the war is more difficult than during the war and it is like you are getting born again, just that you have no one to take care of you. You are on your OWN.

God Bless the world !

Perspective of Things in Life !

How different things are seen differently by different people....
Too many times, DIFFERENT...but that is the fact.
All of us are different and think differently.
I wonder, how simple things for me are so tough for others and many simple things for others are so tough for me.
When something can happen easily by others and i can see people doing it, why it has become a hell of a task for me.
I tend to think some times, when people least expect something or dont want it, they would get it and for others, even after a lot of hard work and effort, the same thing is far far away.
Dont know if any one has the explainations to any of the thoughts above.
But eventually, everything boils down to the Almighty.....
What ever happens, happens for good is the phrase which everyone uses in his life atleast once.
Kismat se zayda and waqt se pehle kuchh nahin milta is another one on the same lines..
Are these real phrases which are facts of life depending on GOD or these are just the excuses which have been framed centuries before and the man is still hooking to them?
I just finished "The Lost Symbol" by Dan Brown and though it is fiction, it has still forced me to think: Do the above phrases mean anything or man can be god if he controls his mind.
Not sure about anything of the above....

Switzerland - Next to Heaven

Switzerland - One of the most beautiful places in the most beautiful continent, i have ever been to. The name of the place itself takes me to the dream world. Wow what a beautiful name this place has been given. I am not sure who gave this name, but i am sure he might also have become dumbstruck to see the awesome beauty of the place called "Swiss". If you need to find more on Origin of name "Switzerland", google is the best option ;)..leaving up to you to post the answer.

I never thought in my wildest dreams that i will visit Switzerland in my life time. The dream which i never thought of, came true. Guggs and myself took an ICE train from Mannheim in Germany to Interlaken in Swiss - a small place in Switzerland which is famous for its huge snow claded mountains and the panoramic Alps View. One must visit this place in his life time.
As the border of Interlaken started, we could make out this could be none other than Switzerland. Huge lakes and mountains above them and the shadow of the mountains on the lakes was just an amazing and picturesque view.
When we got out of the train, it was drizzling a bit and we enjoyed every bit of drops directed to us by Interlaken. Boarded thebus and went to our hotel. Got refreshed and started our journey of marvelous mountains.
We visited the Tummelbach waterfall which is thw World Heritage sight of UNESCO. Fabulous place it is. It is a waterfall hidden in a mountain and a way is cut through the tunnels and mountains to the origin of the waterfall. It has been created in such a way that every step you take and gushing noise of water just tear your ears and it doesnt stop there. It keeps on flowing till your eyes can see them. A lift inclined at 45 degrees take you to a point of the waterfall from where you have to make your own way to reach its top. It was drizlling and the waterfall was also taking its own stride of making us wet. The water was flowing at the speed of 22000 tons litre per second. We can well imagine the speed of it and if anyone falls in it, no one can stop him from meeting God, then.LOL.

Next stop was the Top Of Europe "Jungfrau". It is the most scenic place i have ever seen in my life. The more closer you feel to heaven and God. Snow cladded mountains which i saw in the movies, i could feel them, touch them and even sleep on them. There was snow all over and i would say another world. The train takes to the top of Europe and thats the awesome experience of nature, silence, beauty.
Kisi ne sach hi kaha hai : Kashmir ke baad agar doosri janat hai to woh yahin hai yahin hai, yahin hai....but i have not seen Kashmir, so for me this is the Heaven....
Would like to visit this place once again in my life time
